So I wasn't the only one from Lake Bluff.

James Butz served in the same battalion as one of my two soldier-step-sons.  Both James and Jim were 1st Battalion of the 505th Regiment:  the 1/505.

Jim went to Afghanistan twice with the 82nd Division and is now a fireman in Texas.  James went to Afghansitan with the 82nd and died there four months ago.  His Gold Star mother keeps Christmas on a short leash.
