Memorial Day, 2009

in Lake Bluff

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lots of uniforms.

 

 

 

 

From Lake Bluff, there were police officers, firemen, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts.

 

From our military, there were soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen.

 

And from both were the members of Post 510 who founded our famous parade.

 

But if you ask them, our Memorial Day event is just as significant.

 

The Boy Scouts of Troop 42 raised our flag and then lowered it to half-mast.

 

The Cub Scouts of Pack 42 saluted and watched so that they could continue the tradition.
